Coronavirus (COVID-19) Alert

Indiana Members Credit Union wants our members to know that we continue to monitor the situation with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, and are planning accordingly.

The health, safety and well-being of our members and employees are our number one priority.  Rest assured that we are taking extra precautions to keep our branches and offices clean and as safe as possible for our members and employees.  This includes extra resources dedicated to more frequent cleaning and disinfecting, and frequent communication with our team members regarding our strategies and best practices during this situation.  We also continue to implement strategies with our business continuity team to ensure ongoing uninterrupted service to our members. 

At this time, we continue to operate all of our branch drive-thru's.  In addition, we would like to encourage you to utilize our other alternative delivery channels including the IMCU home banking portal* (imcu.com), the IMCU Mobile App*, Mobile Deposit*, QPhone banking* (800.527.7258), or one of many free ATM or ITM locations throughout the state.  (*Denotes 24x7x365 availability.)  You can also reach our member services department during business hours at 317.248.8556 (800.556.9268), or by using the chat link within NetTeller with any additional questions.

Consider Alternative Access Channels: Mobile & Online Banking

IMCU offers alternative access to your accounts. If you plan to avoid public areas, consider any of the following channels to view balances, make transfers, make payments, and more. Please be assured that we are monitoring the current situation and proactively planning to adjust operations as needed.
 
IMCU offers many additional ways to access your accounts remotely:
  • Mobile BankingView balances, make transfers, pay bills, deposit checks with Mobile Deposit from your phone. Click here for more information.
  • NetTeller: Online banking offers access to your accounts online. 
  • Q-Phone: Telephone banking offers similar access via the phone. 800.527.7258
  • ATM/ITMs: Our ATM and ITMs at branch locations offer drive thru access to withdraw cash, as well as transfer funds, view balances, and more.

Best Practices to Protect Yourself and Others:

Protect Yourself from Fraudulent Scams.  We value your identity. Unfortunately, scammers are taking advantage of the current situation by sending phishing emails resembling emails from financial institutions. Please be aware that IMCU will never send links or attachments via email asking you to open them.  If in doubt, or you are concerned about any email, phone call or text that you receive, please hang up and call Member Services at 800.556.9268.

Special Offers/Assistance Measures:

Fee Relief  

Effective immediately, we are temporarily suspending the telephone transfer fee and fees associated with transferring more than 6 times per month from a savings account, until further notice.
 

Short-Term Loan Special¹

IMCU is extending a special $900 personal loan for 9-months at 9.00%APR to assist with cash flow.
 
First payment due after 90 days! 
 
¹9.00% APR available for qualified borrowers. Repayment in as many as 9 months. Membership savings account required.  Effective 3.16.2020 and rate subject to change. If you borrowed $900 for 9 months, you would make 9 payments of $105.32, with a total finance charge of $47.83. Offer subject to change at any time.
 

No-Fee Loan Deferral (Skip-A-Pay)

IMCU is now offering a Skip-A-Pay² option to provide members with some flexibility during this time. Choose to skip a payment on any of your current consumer loans (auto loans, personal loans) to provide some additional flexibility and ease in this time of uncertainty.

Skip-A-Pay Features:

  • IMCU is waiving the standard Skip-A-Pay fee.
  • Select one or all of your current IMCU loans to skip a payment. (All consumer loans eligible with the exception of mortgage related loans and credit cards.) 
  •  The loan must be currently less than 30 days past due. 
  • Standard Skip-A-Pay terms and conditions apply.

²Terms and conditions of my (our) loan agreement will apply except there will not be a regular monthly payment (or biweekly, semi-monthly or weekly payments) required during the Skip-A-Pay month. Regular payments will resume after the Skip-A-Pay month. I (We) understand that finance charges will continue to accrue during the Skip-A-Pay period. The deferral of my (our) regular payments will result in my (our) having to pay higher finance charges, and that my (our) loan repayment will be extended. I (We) also understand that Indiana Members Credit Union (IMCU) reserves the right to terminate this offer if my (our) financial status changes after approval, but prior to the actual Skip-A-Pay payment is due. This offer excludes real estate loans, Home Equity Lines-Of-Credit, unsecured lines-of-credit (including credit cards), commercial loans and any loan account not in good standing.  This offer is subject to change at any time.  
 

Early Withdrawal Penalty Waivers on Certificates

         For those that need access to funds that were placed in a certificate, IMCU is waiving early withdrawal penalties at this time.
