
(Indianapolis, July 6, 2026) Indiana Members Foundation, the charitable arm of Indiana Members Credit Union (IMCU), recently hosted its 2026 Scholarship and Grant Awards Banquet at the IMCU Headquarters in Indianapolis and awarded $78,000 in scholarships and grants through its Robert E. Martin Collegiate Scholarship Program, Dr. Miriam Z. Langsam Scholarship for the School of Liberal Arts at IU Indianapolis, Mike and Marti Ney “People Helping People” Grant, Terry Renick Legacy Golf Grant, Joan Wolfe Legacy Grant for the Arts Program, and the Ron Collier Educational Scholarship Recipient.
The Robert E. Martin Collegiate Scholarship Program was established to honor Robert E. Martin for more than four decades of dedication and service as a board member of IMCU as well as his commitment to education throughout his career as Vice Chancellor for Administration and Finance at Indiana University at Indianapolis (IUI). The scholarships are available to college students that are members of Indiana Members Credit Union. Applications are accepted annually from January 1 through February 28.
The following ten recipients each received a $5,000 Robert E. Martin Collegiate Scholarship:
- Katelyn Bishop, Mater Dei High School/Purdue University
- Mackenzie Browning, Hamilton Southeastern High School/Indiana University
- Maddie Claire Bruns, Zionsville Community High School Evansville/Indiana University
- Evan Richard Creason, Lawrence North High School/Xavier University
- Benjamin Hocker, Westfield High School/Purdue University
- Catalina Knop, Plainfield High School/Purdue College
- Isabella Lattimer, Brownsburg High School/Indiana University
- Ashley Mitchell, Center Grove High School/Purdue University
- Wangari L. Mwangi, Fishers High School/Purdue University
- Tatum Rosemarie Triggs, Cathedral High School/University of Cincinnati
The following recipient received a $2,500 Dr. Miriam Z. Langsam Scholarship:
- Sophie Barker, Southport High School/IU Indianapolis
The Ron Collier Educational Scholarship was established in honor of Ron Collier’s more than 35 years of dedicated service to Indiana Members Credit Union, including 18 years as President and CEO, and his lifelong commitment to education. The scholarship is available to college students who are members of IMCU and supports their pursuit of higher education. Applications are accepted annually from January 1 through February 28.
The following recipient received a $5,000 Ron Collier Educational Scholarship:
- Aeliana Gawryk, Avon High School/Edgewood University
The Mike and Marti Ney “People Helping People” Grant was created to assist schools and community organizations that help children to achieve success in learning. Mike Ney serves on the Board of Directors at IMCU.
Eight grants were awarded through the Mike and Marti Ney “People Helping People” Grant Program:
- Boys & Girls Club of Noblesville - $2,500
- Brooke’s Place - $1,500
- C.A.P.E. Food Pantry - $2,500
- Fortune Academy - $2,500
- Happy Hallow Children’s Camp - $2,500
- Hope Health Care - $2,500
- Little Red Door - $2,500
- The Miles We Walk - $1,000
Joan Wolfe worked for Indiana Members Credit Union for 27 years and was a huge supporter of Indiana Members Foundation's mission to provide school children with the necessities essential for learning and succeeding in their education. Joan lost her fight with Cancer in March of 2013, but her fight to help children succeed continues with the Joan Wolfe Legacy Grant Program.
The purpose of the Joan Wolfe Legacy Grant for the Arts Program is to assist schools and community organizations that help children to achieve success in learning through the arts.
Two grants were awarded through the Joan Wolfe Legacy Grant for the Arts Program to the following organizations:
- Greg Draws, Inc. - $1,000
- Beech Grove Community Center - Hornet Park, Summer Fun Lunches - $1,000
The Terry Renick Legacy Golf Grant was established to assist high schools in communities served by IMCU annually with its golf program. Terry Renick retired from IMCU as the Vice President of Operations after serving 30 years. The following school received a $1,000 grant for their course green fees, range ball fees, tournament entry fees, golf balls, and travel expenses: organizations:
- Mount Vernon High School Girls Golf Team - $1,000
Applications for all grants are accepted annually, March 1 through April 15.
