Show Off Your Creativity and You Could Help Flip the Switch!
Kids ages 3-12 are invited to participate in the 2026 AES Indiana Coloring Contest. Five finalists will be selected based on creativity, and one grand prize winner will earn the exciting opportunity to help "flip the switch" at Downtown Indy’s Circle of Lights presented by IBEW Local 481 on November 27. Plus, all five finalists will receive $529 deposited into an Indiana529 Savings Plan.
Contest Details
- Contest entry period: Now through November 16, 2026 (11:59 AM EST)
- Open to children ages 3-12
- Limited to Indiana residents
- One entry per child
Prizes
One Grand Prize Winner
- Selected by a panel of judges based on creativity.
- Receives $529 deposited into an Indiana529 Savings Plan.
- Earns the opportunity to help "flip the switch" at the Circle of Lights event on November 27.

Judging
Entries will be judged on creativity by a panel of representatives from AES Indiana, IBEW 481, Indiana529, IMCU, WTHR, and the Downtown Indy Alliance. The judges' decision is final.
Important Dates
- November 16, 2026: Contest closes at 11:59 AM EST
- November 20, 2026: Finalists will be contacted
- November 27, 2026: Circle of Lights event and "flip the switch" opportunity
